Although Tokyo is not known for historical architecture, you can still enjoy its busy streets. There are restaurants to try when you arrive in the city.

• Nikko – If you want to visit one of Japan’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, then look no further. The Nikko National Park is a must-visit place in Japan. It boasts the traditional Japanese architecture that will surely captivate you. It is unique and undoubtedly beautiful. If you want nature, then the path when going to the national park is framed by giant cedar trees.

image• Kyoto – Kyoto is a city where you will meet low-profile Japanese. Also, they keep the tradition like ladies in kimono walking around. Kyoto has shrines and temples. In fact, it has more shrines and temples than any other cities in Japan. If you visit Kyoto, make sure to go at the Golden Pavilion and the Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine. You can also check out the popular Arashiyama bamboo forest.
image• Kamakura – Kamakura is known for its temples. It is just an hour-ride from Tokyo via train. Visiting Kamakura will give you a pleasant day. If you are tired of the busy lights in Tokyo, then going to Kamakura can help you relax. The Daibutsu (Great Buddha) located at Kotoku-in is one of the most famous sights in Kamakura. If you want to try a new thing, then you can join a cooking class, which is available when you visit Kamakura.

• Nara – Did you know that Nara was once the capital of Japan? Nara can be reached via train if you’re coming from Kyoto or Osaka. If you want to travel in Japan, along with your kids, then Nara is a must-see for its Nara Park. Nara Park is home to over 1,200 Sika deer. They can be fed crackers, which I’m sure your kids will definitely enjoy.
